How do I choose video conferencing equipment for a meeting room?

Start with three things: the number of seats, the shape of the room and the platform your company runs. A huddle room is well served by an all-in-one video bar; a long boardroom table needs extra microphones so every seat is heard. Will the equipment work with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?

Teams and Zoom certification is set model by model, and many video bars can run either platform, though each room runs one at a time in its certified mode. The certified configuration is what keeps updates and one-touch join working. Tell us which platform you have standardized on and we will confirm the certified configuration before we quote.

Video bar or separate conference room camera: which do I need?

A video bar packs the camera, microphones and speakers into one device and suits small to medium rooms. A standalone PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) camera fits larger rooms or a second angle, such as a whiteboard, but has no built-in audio, so budget for separate microphones and a speaker. Most meeting rooms are best served by a video bar.

Do you carry speakerphones and headsets for audio calls?

Yes. Alongside room video, we carry speakerphones for small rooms and shared desks, and headsets for people who take calls all day, from Logitech, HP Poly and Jabra.
