Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points add the 6 GHz band, which only Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 devices can use, so older devices stay on 2.4 and 5 GHz. Buy the generation that matches the devices you will run over the life of the network, and make sure the switch ports that feed the access points are fast enough: the 650 series, for example, has dual 5 Gbps ports.
Match the model to the setting. Campus series suit offices, classrooms and open floors. The 500R and 600R remote series are meant for small branch offices and remote work. The hardened and outdoor series, such as the 518, 560, 570, 580, 670 and 760, cover warehouses, yards and hazardous areas.
HPE sells HPE Aruba Networking Central subscriptions for access points in Foundation and Advanced tiers, with terms from one to ten years, so say how you plan to manage the access points and for how long. Aruba part numbers also carry a regulatory region, such as US or RW, so your account manager confirms the right variant for Canada.
